$1 Billion Mobile Telecom Organization Uses VirtualEvents365℠ by CGS to Engage and Educate Technical Community

Business Problem: The customer held over 100 events and road shows each year to engage and educate the technical community. These events were very resource intensive with technical and marketing staff away from the office for several weeks in order to support these programs. A significant portion of the technical community was located outside of the US and physical events were not a cost-effective solution for the other regions.

The Challenge: Create an on-going dialogue with the technical and applications developers’ community for increased consideration and loyalty through high impact education and knowledge sharing. Topics included new product releases, deep-dives into technical subjects with company experts and exploration of marketplace dynamics.

The Solution: Using VirtualEvents365 by CGS, the customer consolidated more than 100 events into a one day virtual event that comprised an executive keynote session, technical education through presentations and webcasts, audience interaction with a panel of experts, one-on-one interaction with company technical experts and solution partners, and social networking to solicit peer advice. The event was made available around the clock in order to address audiences in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.

Business Results: The Company attracted over 4,000 attendees during the one-day event and 1,000 additional participants during a 90-day availability of recorded sessions. Overall, event budget expenses were reduced by 75%. On average, each attendee participated for 160 minutes, downloaded 3.7 documents (white papers, case studies, etc.), and interacted with presenters 5 times each.

The Company also reached decision makers that do not have time to come to physical events, extended meetings outside the US, assembled the best possible team to deliver the content, and held separate content tracks to address individual technical community issues.

Long Term Business Impact: The Company has fully replaced the physical meeting format with 4 virtual events annually.
